Every Bris must be performed by a properly
trained and certified Mohel (ritual circumciser) who is expertly trained in both
the surgical technique and in Jewish Law. I myself use only the most accepted
methods which conform to the highest standards of modern day hygiene and
Halachah (Jewish Law). All instruments I use are either vacuum autoclaved or
single-use disposable.
I studied and qualified in Jerusalem under
the renowned Mohel Mr Yosef Halperin, head Mohel
of Hadassah University Hospital and Misgav Ladach Hospital in Katamon. After receiving my certification in Israel, I
returned to England and received further training and certification
here in the UK, under Mr Brudi Stern and Dr Morris Sifman. I also received a diploma from
the medical board of the Initiation Society. Furthermore, I spent
several years with Mr Brudi Stern, a senior Mohel from North
London, travelling throughout London and the home counties, performing
together countless circumcisions. I also acquired the ability to read a baby's bilirubin level
(level of jaundice) without having to request a blood test. I
am also an approved Mohel of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations
(Kedasia) and The London Beth Din.
By
engaging me to be your Mohel, to circumcise your son, you can be rest assured
that I will care and look after your son with the greatest of care and devotion. Also you can
be certain that the
technique used is (a) 100% in accordance with Jewish Law and (b) the quickest
and least painful method, which does not involve the use of clamps, plasti-bell
or rings etc..
Don’t be concerned if you live somewhere remote
as I frequently travel to perform Bris-milahs. I have literally travelled the world to
perform Bris-milahs, including Edinburgh, Belfast,
Dublin, Gateshead, Gibraltar, Switzerland,
Israel, Canada, Russia and to Hong Kong. If you have
any other questions please visit my FAQ page or email me mohel@brismilah.co.uk.
